1.    At the heart of the work of NMCC is ecumenism yet some people wonder, “Why bother?” How would you respond?

  • In your response, please discuss ecumenism as a theological category and a personal commitment.
  • Please share your vision of the two main ingredients of the NMCC (Faith and Order, Social Justice and Advocacy) working together.
  • Please also discuss the current challenges concerning these categories.

2.    After reading the qualifications sought by the NMCC, which of these are your strongest? (i.e. what gifts do you possess that uniquely equip you for this work?)

  • What elements in the ED position description intrigues you as a potential call?
  • How might this position further your personal sense of call, as well as utilize the strengths you bring to this position?

3.    Tell us about the personal side of your Christian faith:

  • What feeds your soul?
  • How do you respond to challenges (e.g. people who might drive you crazy, budget shortfalls, etc…)?
  • Describe your participation in interfaith dialogues and why you consider them meaningful.
  • What are your spiritual disciplines/practices?
  • What do you love about Christian congregations?
