Dr. Robert S. Turner
President
Robert S. Turner, BA, M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon, member and a past Moderator for the Monte Vista Christian Church [Disciples of Christ], has served on the N.M. Conference of Churches Board since 2002. As a layperson, he plans to advance the Conference of Churches' mission, with the help of both lay and ordained professionals.
In 1987, the annual Dorothy Turner Memorial Seminars began, and since 1992 the Seminars have been co-sponsored by the New Mexico Conference of Churches.
Previous board, advisory or professional services include the Lovelace Clinic, Black River Center for Learning, New Mexico Natural History Museum Foundation, Western Orthopaedic Association, New Mexico Orthopaedic Association, Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation, Hibbs Society and the Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute.
